My name is Tibo Leij and I am the Commissioner Marketing of the 34 th EFR Business Week. I am 22 years old and was born in Gouda, which is not too far from Rotterdam. Currently, I am finishing my bachelor Economics and Business Economics, here at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
As the Commissioner Marketing I am responsible for a strong brand of the Business Week. In this challenge you have a lot of freedom, as the Business Week is a rather stand-alone project every year. The responsibility that a great event like this brings along, asks for maximum effort and an extensive amount of creativity. Upon that, there are many third parties involved in the Business Week, which requires you to have strong communicative skills.
This year the theme of the EFR Business Week is ‘BE THE CHANGE’. Through this theme, we aspire to inspire and motivate students to leave their mark on this ever fast-changing society. For the promotional material, we have chosen to use three icons that represent change. You will see Neil Armstrong, Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks back in all of our branding.
Organizing a big event like this, has taught me a lot over the past few months, but I am even more excited about what is still coming. All the signs so far prove that the Business Week will be great success. I am very much looking forward to it, and hope to see you all from April 3rd until April 13th !
